College Cheerleading

As well as our Level 2, Level 3, Group Stunt and Dance teams, a number of colleges also have their own cheerleading squads. These squads perform at college events as well as at the Annual Intercollegiate Cheerleading Competition. To find out whether your college have a team and how to get involved, ask the JCR to be put in contact with the relevant college captain.
Every year we host the Annual Intercollegiate Cheerleading Competition, where up to 10 teams battle it out to be crowned college cheer champions. A portion of the proceeds go to A chosen charity. last year we raised £1434 for 'Magpie dance' - a cause that aims to improve social and communication skills of those with learning disabilities through the medium of dance. This year, the competition promises to be even bigger and better than ever before.
